It wasn’t long ago that I speaking to a friend who knew someone within the indy wrestling scene. Essentially, he wasn’t signed to a specific promotion but rather he was able to move about from one area to another in order to wrestle for various shows. It was his way to make a living and the lifestyle itself seemed, at least to me, adventurous. He had to handle some payments, though, and I feel like commercial collection agencies could have helped in one particular situation.
Only now has our economy begun to crawl out from recession. For small businesses, it is difficult for them to predict as to whether or not they will be around this time next year, let alone how to go about collecting a debt. Regardless, it is no surprise that businesses would hesitate to use a collection agency. They have gained a bit of a reputation of being a kind of bogeyman that is ready to kick someone out of their homes the minute they miss a mortgage payment. However, using a collection agency may be a benefit for small businesses.
When there are goods or services left unpaid, it’s safe to assume that the most persistent of collectors will take what is there. This is the case of accounts receivable, though such an overly dramatic first statement make take you aback. I’d like to believe that such a mindset can be applied to the world of video games, where a person is only limited by their imagination. I’d like to think that the issue of accounts receivable can be applied to gaming, more specifically the villainous side of it.
